George Thomas reports a large attendance of buyers at his sale of the brig Wave's cargo of produce. The bidding showed a great want of spirit, and the anticipated fall m all produce linos operated strongly agaiast anything approaching fair rates being obtained. One me of 140 sacks leed oats realised 2a lid ; 120 ot better colour reaching 3s 3d ; 170 sacks fair feed, 3s, and 44 -sacks, 3s 2d ; 226 sacks whole fowls' wheat was cleared at 3s 5d to 3s 6d ; 100 sacks inferior quality commanded Is 11.1 ; a line of 7 tons Otago flour fetched £10 2s 6d ; pollard, M 10s ; and bran, £3 17a 6d. Several lines were passad at the sali*, ! but have since been disposed of, though at a loss to consignor.
