APIECE of Land, known by the name of Mataheka, bounded on the West by the Waikato, on the North by a line from.Mataheka to Papakiringaringa, on the East by the Maraniarua River, and oil the South by a line from Auahi to Te Tumutumu has been offered for sale by Haiuiooa Pailai, llotone ICruela and others. Friend, the Editor of the Newspaper, this is our letter to you with reference to our land Vukekawa. We do not approve of this our land being sold clandestinely. We wish you to do away with the notice sent to the paper by Aihepene and the Ngatitcata tribe, it is wrong in them to sell land secretly. Friend, the Editor of the Newspaper, do you hearken —the boundary of our land commences at Ketekuka, and runs thence to Wharangi, Te Toke, Awakanapa, Tawaruru, Te Tewa, Te Wahaoteinarangai, Te Kopua Marui Karaka, and Whangaoteke ; this is the Waikato line. From this place the boundary runs in land to Pukekawa, continuing the line till it adjoins Ketekaka. Friend, Captain Nugent, and Mr. Johnson, will you be expeditious in sending this to the Editor of the paper in order that it may be printed to that all men may soe it.—Enough, (Signed) Taraipena, Aperaiiama, Wktere, Tutere, Nopere.
