Maniototo Sub-union. A meeting of the above was held at Ranfurly last Friday evening.^||The president (Mr Pinder) occupied" the chair, and Ithere were also present— Messrs S. C. Greer, W. Davis, jun., W. Webb, R. L. Francis, G. Paterson, J. Millar and the secretary (Mr W. M'Lean). A letter was received from Mr J. S. Pinder resigning his 'position as president. It was decided •to accept the resignation. Mr Francis, vice-present, then acted as chairman. Mr Greer moved, and Mr Millar seconded—That the secretary.'write to each club in the, county requesting it to donate to' the funds of this subunion next season the sum of £2,. such amount to be in lieu of the donation of "one gate" as now is the custom. It was decided to accept the rules and amendments governing the play for the seven-aside tournament, as submitted by Mr Greer, to be brought into force next year. The secretary made a report as to the financial position of- the sub-union for the season. The seven-aside tournament on August 22 resulted in a loss of £3 4s. The Maniototo-Otago representative match, played at Raijfurly on August 29, resulted in a profit of. £2 7s 6d. With an . asset, of 16 new jerseys the union is winding up its season with about £5 in hand. ' In appreciation of the work done by the secretary during the past season, a bonus of £5 was granted to him. .
