ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.

For some time past there has been a dearth of entertainments but the Orchestral Society's concert on the 21st inst. will break the monotony. The society is stronger both numerically and in proficiency than it ever was before, and on the night of the concert will be represented byftho following : First violins, Messrs Palmer, Cohen, Moss. Seconds, Mrs Gostelloe, Miss Glenn, Miss Jones, Mr Thomas. Violas, Mrs Bottiug, Mr Blue. Cellos, Messrs Ed. Moore and C. Moore. Flute, Mr H. Moore. Clarionet, Mr Philpotts. Cornets, Messrs A. Bull and H. Browne. Euphonium, Mr Lennane. Pianist, Mrs Moss.

Mr Palmer is a member of the Wellington Orchestral Society and.is on a visit to Naseby in the interests of the Government Life Insurance office. Mr Coben also comes from Wellington to receive the beuefit of the Naseby air, and the pociety are receiving great assistance from both theae gentlemen. Mr Blue, who is to give a violin solo, will captivate the audience, for those who have heard his violin playing give him a great name. Seeing that our local Bociety has always cheerfully helped in the entertainments promoted for various objects, 'and knowing that in such towns as Alexandra the Orchestral Society receives universal assistance from the townspeople, we feel certain the inhabitants of Naseby will make a big house on the 21st.
