On Sunday, Mr Malcolm, who will relieve the Rev. J. M'Cosh Smith of the evening service, intends to read an address entitled " The Christian Athlete," an address cmi r.ently fitted to meet the tastes of the young man, many of whom have taken prominum positions in the football field and on the racing track. As the service will be specially for young moil lie bnpus there will be a poud muster of them to hear the address.

A ittlk excitement was caused in the. town on Tuesday afternoon by the ringing of the fire bell, a large crowd soon collecting in the muin street. timoke was seen issuing from one of the out-buildings of the County Ofliccs, but the fire brigade was soon on the acenc, and by turning the hose on the fire all chance of a conflagration was quickly removed. '1 he accident was caused by a bucket of hot fishes being left in the building. Very little damage wug done, which is covered by the insurance.
