of water, and a number of claims bave work again ; but unless more rain corner "•bon I am afraid they wil! hare to knock i' again.—We lifted about 24 chains of the cSonnel,' which, as expected, did not turnout so''Well as before, owine to the pavers having been shifted by floods, and also being about SOO yardr, further down than the last lift; but it will leave a good margin of profit, besides giving employment to all the men who were knocked off for" waut of water.—The siles of water for the' month wil' be about L 8 0; cash received, LlO5 16s; tjold taken from channel, L9B Is.—Received.' overseer's report. . The weather broke up on the Msfch, bat the supply of water did not increase' very much on the lower portion ; but on the tipper portion the Euoply has be«l as much as the race will carry. ' Th're is very little warerib'the creekß till Pearce'a G >rge is reached, but there, is a good supply from there to ihe top. It will only last a few days, unless more r iin fills. I have had to repair the race at the Eweburn thism»ith, with extra labor, '.women for one day. The race is in good working order.— Received. treasurer's statement. Total £795 15s 41 Disbirsßments.—Payment of Feb accounts, £IS7 43 8I; ba arjco as bank March 23, £6OS 10j Si. Total, £795 15s 41. MJJASCE. The following accouuts were passed for payment:—Maintenance of head race, £352*; pxtra labor, head race, 16s ; general, £26 13s 4d ; washing-up ch innel, £ll 4s ; extension of head race, £2 Sa ; maintenance of channel, £ll 13a41. The trust then rose.
