Perhaps before the day of his hanging I may grow in grace eriough to pray for him, but until then I. must leave it to the old ministers who have got so good that they can do anything."
The remains of Mr R. 0. Brown, formerly of (Jambrian, and late Borough Inspector for the M unicipality of Roslyn, were consigned to their last resting p'-ace in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin, on' Wednesday last in the presence of a large gathering of fiiend* and mourners from, various parts of the Province Amongst those asseml.led to pay the last tribute of respect to the memory of 'the.'defeased were:—Mr Bridgman (viayorof v'aversham), several Members of thesCorporation of Rosl.vn, a number of the hoslyn r Volunteer Fire Brigade—of which the dt-ceased -was a member—aud the following gentlemen connectfd more or less with.the Counties o 4 Vincent and M.miototo :—Messrs B. Wasner, William Py]e, cetffc, Archibald Brown, G. ri. Smith, Geo. Dopglis, K. Bucknell, Sergeant MTvor, M: Al''is"6n, 'J bos. Go'-e, James Duff. James Samson, Wm. L;,ons. J Springer, Mr" M'Geaehen, and ;V(r George CUett. The shortness of the notice, no dou ; t, prevented many friends of the deceased from Cambrian and-st. -ha'hans, bi ig preseu;,. The interment look place in the Church of land portion of the Cemetery, and the service was conducted by the kev. R. A. Kerkbam.
