The Borough Council have resolved to take prompt action,- by telegraphing to the Government, in reference to the proposed leasing of all the binds in the v'cinity of Naseby. Other centres should bestir themselves. Tile •Wellington Post,' in view of the one-sided character of the matches so far played by the English cricketers, threw out the suggestion that instead of playing twenty two local ameteurs against eleven English professionals, two elevens should be formed each containing six of the twelve Englishmen forming the team, and five of the best local players who could be picked. The idea has been received with a good deal' of favor amongst the local " knights of the v.illow.
