KYEBURN PICNIC.
The children's picnic in, (connection with the Kyeburn Diggings Sunday School took place on Thursday last, on, the flat adjoining the school. The weather was all 'that could be desired—the sun :if anything rather hot. The children mustered to the number of about forty or'Afty/ and thoroughlyenjoyed themselves. The Sunday -School children were examined,-and - prizes! given, and lmair gift books jdXstributed.-. to^those'who were not so fortunate as to.obtain a prize. A lengthy programme - of, ..sports was -gone through, intowhich the children entered with, great spirit. The' children were next treated to tea and cake in the schoolroom. A goodly muster of parents and friends were' present, who seemed to enjoy themselves as heartily as the children. The ladies, were indefatigable in their efforts'to. give an abundaat supply, and succeeded to the satisfaction of svery-one—the iea being notably good.
