WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION.

MONTHLY MEETING,

The usual monthly meeting of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union Avasheld on Thursday afternoon at the residence, of Mrs W. Bullard, of Avenue Road. In the absence of the president (Mrs J. Ross), Miss Lee was voted to the chair. The meeting Avas opened with a hymn, Bible reading and prayer conducted by Miss Lee. Correspondence was read from the Palmerston North branch proposing that the District Convention be held there on 4th Geptember. —(Received.

The report, submitted by the Feilding delegate Avho attended the Dominion conference held in Auckland last March, was read and a clear and concise report on the complete session held the attention of members who were greatly interested in the account of the very many branches of the Avork covered by the W.C.T.U. the Dominion, the membership in adult and youth work being most encouraging.
