LAKE WAIRARAPA DROWNING.

BODIES NOT FOUND. Masterton, July 8. Dragging operations to recover the bodies of Mr Bicknell, carpenter, Featherston, and Mr. Latham, farmer, Pirinoa, who were drowned on Saturday afternoon when their boat capsized on Lake Wairarapa, were carried out to-day, which was the first calm day since the tragedy. The bodies, however, were not recovered, and it is understood the lake will not be dragged further. '.A member of the party doing the work said that the lake was thoroughly dragged to-day, and if the bodies had been 'there they would have been recovered.
