BOWLING .
A great deal of interest is being shown in the challenge games for the Haydoek Pins, and a good list of challenges is being maintained on the notice board. On Friday evening a closely contested match was played between the holders —Thomas and Roore (s) —and Robinson and Marston (s). The finish was very interesting, as the challengers wanted three points tO' win on the final head, and looked like, getting them, as they lay three when tire skips went to try their hand. Roore, however, managed to lay’ his third bowl near kitty, and Marston failing to dislodge it, the decision went in favour of the holders, 21 —17. On Saturday Eruera and Howe (s) tried conclusions with the holders, which game was so evenly contested that a draw resulted — 19 all —the holders thus retaining the trophies without any margin of points. lONNEBERG FEATHERS. It is expected that a rink from Shannon Club will visit Foxton tomorrow to try conclusions with Mattar’s rink for; the Kinneberg Feathers.
