HIGHWAYS BOARD TO VISIT FOXTON.

VARIOUS MATTERS TO BE DISCUSSED.

Notification was received at last night’s Borough Council meeting that the Main Highways Board would be visiting Foxton during the course of its North Island tour on Friday, 23rd November at 1.45 p.m., when it would be pleased to confer with the Council on matters of mutual interest.

Cr. D. R. Barron suggested asking the Board to run its levelling machine over Main Street to plane off the bumps. Cr'. Nve considei’ed the corrugations should be left as they kept speeding down. It was decided to refer the matter to the Board. It was also decided to discuss with the Board the improvement of the Purcell-Eatriek Streets corner.
