ATTACKED BY BOAR.

CADET RECEIVES DEEP GASH ON LEG.

Paeroa, October 16.

While working on the farm of Mr H. A. Mills, at Netherton, this morning, a cadet, John Bartley, aged 17, was attacked by a large boar. He suffered a deep gash on the left leg above the knee. The boar was not suspected of beingdangerous.

The injured lad was brought to the Paeroa Hospital and received medical attention from Df. W. W. Little. Several stitches in the wound were necessary. The condition of the boy is not serious, but he will be unable to work for a considerable time.
