CONTINUOUS IN BUSINESS
HONOUR TO MR A. R. OSBORNE
From evidence submitted it appears that Mr A. R. Osborne can claim the distinction of being in continuous business locally longer than anyone else. Mr 11. Bradcock has been awarded the prize in connection with the competition.
If any doubt on the point should exist the fault must rest with those who failed to submit details. In connection with the above we have been shown an old-time photo-
graph of Mr J. Malls’ business premises with the proprietor and members of the family, then little children, in the foreground. The window displays small goods which were then and now are in keen demand. Bread delivery in those days was made on horse back and the carrier with a full basket of bread, is also depicted as well as three townsmen of those early days. It is an interesting picture of the days gone by.
