RUBBLE FOR ROAD REPAIR.
COMMENT BY COUNCILLOR At last night’s Borough Council meeting Councillor Wm. Nye commented on the fact that if any broken concrete or rubble came into the Council’s' possession it was deposited on road corners, which he did not approve of. It- constituted a menace to motorists. Cr. Cowley: And to biike riders also. The Mayor said that the Council was gladl to get any old concrete, etc., for the roads. The position was that if the Council had to purchase metal for this work it would remain undone. iCr. Nye suggested that it would be better to blind the material with clay. This suggestion was adopted.
