SEAVIEW PARK.
A LASTING MONUMENT.
COUNCIL’S APPRECIATION,
Or. D. R. Barron" reported on a visit to Seaview Park, at last night’s Borough Council meeting, and expressed his surprise and pleasure at the •wonderful work earned out there. It was astonishing, he said, to see what a beautiful garden had been made out of an, unsightly hill. Foxton possessed in Seaview Park a reserve no one need be afraid to show to, a visitor to the town. It is a very fine monument to the efficient work carried out by the unemployed, he concluded). Cr. J. L. Christie expressed appreciation of the work and said that all the plants and shrubs for the reserve had been donated by the public. The Mayor, in endorsing the remarks of the previous speakers, said that the men had carried out a very creditable work in which they had their heart. . It was decided to place on re- | cord the Council’s appreciation of the work done.
