MOUTOA HALL COMMITTEE.

SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL EVENT

A very sociable and successful dance was held in, the Moutoa Hall on Thursday evening, the first of tile season to be conducted by the Moutoa. Hall Committee. Foxton was well represented amongst the patrons and one and all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Messrs 51. E. Perrcau and Wm. J. Ross shared the duties of 51. C. and excellent •music was provided by a professional orchestra. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of the committee. The committee decided to hold another similar function at an early date —probably towards the end of this -month. The efforts are held with a view to raising money to liquidate the debt on the hall.

On Saturday next the Moutoa Hall Committee intend holding a shop day in Main Street. As usual there will be the characteristic large assortment of farm produce, cakes, etc.
