HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 13th August, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: —
Hemp. —Manila: Market,remains quiet but linn. \ “It” grade for August-Oetober shipment sold at £l7 and for Oetober-Deeember shipment £l7 10/-. August-Oetober shipment now quoted £l6 15/-. ISisal: —Market firm. Closing values No. 1 Fair average quality for August-Oetober shipment £ls 5/- to £ls 10/-. New Zealand:—Market unchanged. Small business has been done in good fair for August-September shipment at £l7 10/-.
