MAORI BURNED TO DEATH.

Auckland, August 13. A Maori, Te Rang! Tamiro Hiurama, known as Robert Osborne, was burned to death in his whare at Ohautira early this morning. At an inquest held to-day the evidence showed that deceased lived by himself in a punga and slab whare with an iron roof. About 2 a.m. a glare} was noticed in the direction o£ the whare, and after daylight it was discovered that the whare had been burned with its occupant. The coroner, Mr. S. Pelham, returned a, verdict that deceased was accidentally burned to death.
