BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED

Last evening a kitchen and bathroom evening was tendered Miss Alary Delaney, in view of her approaching marriage, by Mrs S. Austin and Mrs S. Barber, at the residence of Airs Austin. Between 70 and SO local and district residents were present and dancing and cards whiled away a most enjoyable evening, the dance music being supplied by Alisses E. Patterson, AI. Delaney and Wright.

During the evening much appreciated items were contributed by Mr. S. .1. ITarvev, Miss Doughtey and All's S. Barber.

A delicious supper was- dispensed by the hostesses and at a suitable juncture Al'iss Delaney, who was tin' recipient of numerous and useful presents, opened the parcels and Mr. Frank Bowe, in an appropriate speech, thanked all for their gifts and good wishes. The couple were accorded musical honours.

The singing of “Auld Lang Sync” concluded a most enjoyable function.
