PERSONAL.
An old identity of Palmerston North, Mr. Alfred Henry Dylds, passed away at his residence yesterday morning at the advanced age of 81 years. Tlie deceased gentleman arrived in Palmerston North about 50 years ago and has resided in this neighbourhood ever since. He was a man of wide interests, flaxmilling, shipping, and saw-mil- jg / ling, being some of the activities in j wlick he Avas engaged. The late Mr. Wylds was the oAvner of the Clyde, Emerald and Josephine all of AA r hich vessels traded betAveen Foxton and Australia some years ago; He is survived by his widow, three sons and three daughters.
