LORRY STICKS ON LEVEL CROSSING.

Napier, October 13. A motor lorry and its load of furniture were badly smashed by a train at Awatoto this evening. The driver heard a train coming, and ran along the line in an endeavour to stop it, but was not successful in preventing a collision.
