FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD

At Tuesday night’s quarterly meeting of the Palmerston N. Cham bef of Commerce the following letter was received from the local Chamber/In reference to the acquisition of control of the port hv the Harbour Board, and, as the matter was one which affected the whole district, the support of the Chamber was asked for the following resolution: —"That the Chamber endorses the action of the Harbour Board in obtaining control of the Foxton wharf during the railway strike, and that this Chamber considers the time • has now arrived whein the Board should take the control of the wharf from the Railway Department, and for 'the Board to assume absolute control.” The let 11 -,- was received.
