The IJimatangi Block. —We are happy to inform our readers that the contest for this block is rapidly" drawing to a. close. After a most searching and exhaustive examination of a deed containing .1,700 names—those of the sellers of the Ran-~ gitikei-Manawalu Block —the Native Land Court has at length found out Ihe persons who have a bona tide title to the block, and we believe that in a few days the Com! will be enabled to finally determine who are to be declared the owners. The Ngatilea-U, Xgutiinrauga, and Xga(irakau hapus of the great Ngatiraukawa tribe are the persons whose claims are likely to prove successful. We have heard the patience and discrimination of Judge Heaphy in the ease highly spoken of.
