THE CATAPULT NUISANCE.
Use is being made of rejected rubber motor tubes by local boys in the manufacture of catapults. Some boys have become expert in the use of the calapn.it, and succeed in bitting long distance objects with marked accurancy. There is a grave danger that the parents of boys using these -stone projectors will 11 ml the pastime.a very costly one. Two residents have informed us thatvindows have been smashed at their residences, and that proceedings may be taken to recover the damage done. There is ttfso the possibility that some one’s eye may be knocked out, or other personal injury inflicted accidentally. The use of catapults is also a police offence, so that-.parents will be well advised to lake the necessary steps to put an end to this nuisance.
