PARTICULARS OF EXPORT. The copy of the Statistics of New Zealand dealing with Trade and Shipping, just to hand from the Government Printer, gives Use following details of the export; and value of Noav Zealand hem]) for the vear 1918: — HEMP. The total quantity of hemp exported was 25,107 tons, valued at £1,387,763. The following are the quantities and values exported to the different countries: — United Kingdom, 3,286 tons, £178,829; Ca-, nada, via West Coast, 1,572 tons, £89,876; Australia, 4,556 tons, £218,507; Nonva\|, 185 tons, £9,957; U.S.A., via West Coast, 15,568 tuns, £890,594. The quantities and value of the hemp exported from the different ports were; —Auckland, 4,817 tons, £280,320; Wellington, 10,849 tons, £929,402; Lyttelton, 385 tons, £1.5,163; Dunedin, 1,500 tons. £82,010: other districts, 1,577 tons, £81,739. TOW. The quantity of tow exported was 1,815 lons, of a total value of £20,384. Of this quantity, 4,756 tons, valued ;it £10,730, Was-exported to Australia, and 50 tons, valued at £654, to Japan. The quantities and value of the tow exported from the different ports were; —Auckland, 220 tons, £2,465 ; Wellington, 1,347 tons, £15,310; Lytlenton, 30 tons, £240; Dunedin, 32 tons, £377; other districts, 186 tons, £1,022.
