THAT THOUSAND POUNDS.
Government passed the sum of £iooo during last session for the erection of a post office at Foxton. The sura mentioned will not provide us with a very elaborate structure, but as we are an easygoing community, willing to accept anything that falls our way, we suppose it doesn’t matter. However, the point is, the Government’s financial year closes on 31st March next, and if we don’t claim the thousand pounds and immediately shake the Postal or Public Works Department'up, the sum will vanish. We suggest that the Borough Council take action in the matter on Monday evening.
