Gobton & Son's Stock Eeport. Bulls, 29tli March. Owing to Easter holidays and press of business we were unable to send our usual report of sales we held at Sanson, Waituna, Bulls, Hunterville, Awahuri and at Mr W. Douglas's, at Campbelltown this month. The entries were good, but the sales on the whole were dull, excepting at Waituna, and I at Mr Douglas's., where the bidding for 1
dairy cows was exceptionally brisk, bringin;; various prices from £1 13s Od to£9 2s Gel. The majority being over £7. Since thoii \yo Imve hnld sates at Marton and at Messrs - k. fin'l W; Mhuson'B .property, Stanway Koad. At Marton the sale van vefy chill; and we were only able to quit a few pens of sheep, At Messrs Manson's homestead .the market was decidedly better. A large number of sheep were yarded and we sold all the 4 and 6-footh, all the f.i'.m., all the ifimbß) and a small portion of the f.m. ; the cattle not reaching the reserve wero passed in. Our quotations for the ludt two salss are : — Marton— Fat sheep; 8s sd; breeding ewes, 4s 1 4d ; crocks* 2s fid. , . At Messrs D. and W. Hanson's— 4 and 6-th ewos, 8s Cd to 8s (Id ; f.f.m. ewes, 6s 6s to 6s 8d; f.m. ewes, 6s 6d; woolly lambs, 5s 2d ; culls, 2s 3d.
