Mca Dqnajds.on took the dangerous toy., from tjfcip in&st, and, thinking it not to be loaded, snapped it several times in the direction of the window. l$o { djqehjarge followed, whereupon Miss McElwain, saying ■ • Give it me, I'll have i^ghot,' took the weapon . from? and pointed it in the directionof the cloor. Unfortunately the chambett»n which the hammer fell happefii^d to be loaded, and Miss Miniu^J&jQwater, who was coming aloqg^t|t;irtßage at the time, received- tttabtijjet;in her jaw.
