Mr Wright applied by letter for permission to erect a verandah acrcss the pathway in front of Mr Callison's store. Granted, on condition that it is ten feet wide. Tenders received.— For Manchester . street culvert, £60 15s, declined as excessive. The Engineer was instructed to get the work done. For Hastings and Godley streets, HaU combe— C. Neilson, £192 Us, accepted ; J: Farrel, £181 ss, declined as informal; J. Aitken, £268 15s, deqlined. Ffcr Junction Eoad— O'Kane and Murphy. £2 10s per chain, accepted ; J. Aitken, £3 18s 6d, declined. For No. 3 Line— J. Malone, 12s per chain, accepted, J. Aitken 14ft 6#, J. Younger, 18s declined. For. Stenway Road— J Farrel, Bs, per yard, informal For Tauranga Road — P J Farrel, 6a( 6s per yard, informal. cure gravel for the Stanway andTaiAccounts amounting to over £1-200 were passed, and the Board ad- ; fourned to Matc^i 1.
