A naval officer boarded the Baltic andl conveyed Sir Navil Maeready's prohibition against the landing of Archbishop Mannix in Ireland, and Fie Id-Marshal Sir Henry Wilson's prohibition against his visiting Livei^ nool, -Manchester, or Glasgow. Otherwise Archbishop Mannix is vrco to go anywhere in Britain. Archbishop Mannix twice refused the officer's persuasion, and protested against being ordered to quit the ship. T'ho officer then placed his hand on the prelate's shoulder, and the Archbishop, regarding this as a legal I arrest., boarded the destroyer.
