Fraser to-day if it was correct ihat the Wellington wa,tersido workers refused tb-^day-'tO: handle some neat being shipped oit the City, of Winchester, on the ground that it was unfit for- human consumption. Mr Ma&sey replied that he had not heard about the watorsiders' action, lut what the Imperial Supplies Department did was to send back to the freezing works some mea.t which was mouldy. A portion which had been shipped was taken off. for return to the worbs, where suitable portions would be canned and the rest boiled down for tallow. Not a single carcase would be allowed ;to be shipped ml ess it was perfectly; sound.
