DELHI, July 17

Military operations on the Lower Euphrates continue. A brigade under General Coningham is concentrated in the Diwamyah area. Communication has been successfully restored between Basra and Sanawa. by armored trains ec-operating with the defence vessels.

The defence vessels recently had a sharp engagement with the Arabs above Sanawa. n

There is considerable effervescence in the Shativah district.
