SCENE IN THE FEDERAL

There was an extraordinary scene in the House of Representatives. After Mr Hughes refused to discuss the Father Jerger, caso> Mr Tudor attempted to move a •'censure motion, but before he commenced a woman in the ga/Uery shouted loudly (at Mr Hughes regarding his treatment of Father Jerger. She then throw into the Chamber a« bundle of literature en the subject. This, was the' signal for concerted action on tho part of other women in the gallery, who screamed: "Why don't yon give him a. fair trial, you dirty robber,' 1 and showered printed statements upon the heads of those l*elow them.
After a struggle the interjectors were removed.
