At a farewell dinner to the Overseas • delegates to the Impenai Statistical Conference, a letter from Sir L. S. Amory was road emphasising the necessity for the fullest possible statistics in regaaxi to trade, agriculture, mining, finance, population, oosfc of living, labor,, and emigration, and. their proper co-ordina-tion, in order to develop and utilise the resources of the Empire to the fullest extent. He was sure that the deliberations of tiie conference would greatly contribute to attainment .it that end, which ho would do everything in his power to further.
