(Reoeaved Nov. .20, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON^ Nov. 19. Mr Asquith, addressing London Liberals saidi that, dwing the next six months future world development would bo in the crucible. It would thercforo be a blunder and a calamity to plung© Britain in the tumult! of a general elect-ion. The'strongest argument against the. election was that the soldiers would not. be returned in ■timo to participate.' A Parliament so brought intk> existence would be so truncated and mutilated ihaifcit would lack moral authority. H© 'entered the election frankly as a Liberal, but he was prepared to support any Government which grappled with'the. reconstruction problems on progressive lines.
