GUARDING NAVAL SECRETS
LEAKAGE IN AMERICA
WASHINGTON, June 11. Mr Daniels, Secretary of the Navy, has. issued an order designed to prevent leakage "which might prove disastrous to the navy. The order makes it a breach of the regulations for officials to discuss with their families or friends the disposition of ships and tro'op3. ;lhe Senate Naval Committee has ordered a sweeping investigation into the affairs of the Department. Anonymous letters, telling of irregularities in the Department, were produced at this morning's hearing of evidence into the Mongolia shell accident, showing'that the'writer had access to Departmental secrets. It is possible that a disgruntled employee wrote the letters, the authors of which the Secret Service agents are trying to discover.
Mr Daniels toidfche committee that either a spy era traitor had been divulging confidential information from the Bureau of Ordnance.
