CAPTAIN GILMAN'S CAREER.

VICE,
: CHRISTOHURCH, March 14. Captain Gilman, of the Matatna, had been in the Shaw-Savill service for about 20 years. Forane'rly ho was chief officer of the old Arawa, in the mail service,. and later commanded the Pakeha.
Several years ago he married Miss Gibbons, of Wellington.
