Tlie Novoo Vreinyo points out tliat •despite official intimation from thi> Persian Government that it is suppressing German intrigues, the German Minister at Tohc-ran lias not been expelled or made a prisoner. The gendarmerie has gone over to the enemy. German officers arc in command, and arc now fortifying thepasses in order to defend the approaches from the Turkish frontier.
