PANIC ON BRITISH STEAMER.

TURKISH SUBMARINE ASSISTS IN RESCUE.

(Received Nov. 30, 8 a.m.) (Ke I? EW yO^K, Nov. 29. \ Turkish submarine stopped the British steamer Buvulos. After 25 were drowned the Turks assisted many of the 200 passengers who jumped overboard. v , Mrs Esau, who has arrived here^, states that there was a panic when the submarine was sighted. The passengers mid crew, who were mostly Greeks, made for the boats, and three were capsized. The submarine launched a collapsible boat. An officer shoutod: "Be calm! We are not murderers!" After.-standing by for five hours assisting in the rescue the submarine disappeared. ,
