A Lincolnshire Yeomanry corporal states that-the submarine attacked the Mercia on November 3rd! for an hour, firing 100 shells. The second shot demolished the wireless. The troops sheltered wherever possible. •The captain manoeuvred the ship wonderfully. Some boats were picked up after two days privations.
