AUCKLAND, Aug. 30

Speaking on the subject of the National Register, in reply to views .expressed by the Hon. Mr Hvrhe-s, Federal Attorney-General, the Minister for Defence said:. "We hnve nn idea of conscrintion in our minds, ami I hope we shall never give it a. thought. The purpose of registration is to ascertain the resources of the Dominion, and I certainly think it should include women.
