The annual Communication of tihe Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand was opened at Christ-church tthis morning by the retiring Grand -Master. Bro. Maurice .. Thompson. Bro. J. J. Dougall was unanimously elected to fill the position of Grand Master for the year.—Ptress Association.

Those who have been responsible for the arrangements in connection with the missionary sale of work which is being held in the Anglican school-room are to be commended upon ffche result of .their efforts. A number of stalls, displaying a varied assortment of articles attractively, have been arranged, and this afternoon they were well patronised. The stallholders ure as follows-.—Flower stall,' Miss E.
