THAMES, April 29. The. Hon. Mr Massey addressed a large meeting last night. The audience Tv-as most enthusiastic. The speech was mainly on the lines of previous speeches, except where he referred to the settlement of the Hauxaki swamp lands, explaining the measure passed in connection (therewith. He also defended the action of the Member for the district in connection with what is known as the Rhodes clause. .
