The Sunday-schools in the Archdeaconry of Waimea, Nelson, have responded nobly to tine Bishop's appeal in January in aid of the Selwyn Mission Launch. A great Sunday-school rally was held on Easter Sunday in, t-he Cathedral at Nelson. -The children collected in pence and small silver coins just £80 in tte^^teuths, which shows how much ci^^HSone by their means "with. a^HPH^, encouragement on the part of their teachers.

Only a small proportion of this money came from MarlborougUi; hut it at least serves to show that this province is perfectly willing to do its share in this good work ifst<eps are taken to promote it. What has heen done m Nelson can he done here, and as the Sunday-school rally has undertaken to try to raise £150 -towards the completion of the purchase, of the launch and Nelson has done its quotia Marrborough ought, it & held, to find the remaining £70 with little difficulty. Subscriptions may be handed m at this office, and they' will he forwarded to the Bishop of Nelson
