THIS YEAR'S COMPETITIONS

At a meeting, of the Marlborough Collie Dog Trial Association, held on Friday last, it was definitely, decided that the annual trials be..held ithis year on the 3rd and 4th June. Mrs R. McCallum donated £5 5s and Mr W. F. Gray £5 os. Mr Chas, Teschemaker-Shutb promised 20 sheep, Mr A. C. Mcßae and Bankhouse sis each, and Messrs W. B. Stevenson, J. Halliday, and G. R. Ritchie monetary support. It was also mentioned that several other liberal donations would be forthcoming. ■
The .following is th© programme, which will be issued during the course of the next few days:— Class I.: Heading, bringing back, and yarding. First prize, Mr "WV F. Gray's special (£5 ss) with £5 added; second, £3; third, £2; fourth, £1. A special prize of £2 £s will be awarded to the owning not less than 250 sheop, scoring most points in (bhis class. Class lE.: Huntaway with! slew. First prize, Mrs McCallum's .special (£o ss) with £3,-added: second -£3third,£2;fourth.:£l, >*> Class III.: Heading, bringing back, {i-ncl holding in the ring.
