A FISHERMAN DROWNED.
AUCKLAND, Jan. 19
John Irvine, a laborer, was djrowned in the harbor on Saturday evening while .fishing from' a dinghy aiichored near the steamer Hauroto, in company with two brothers named Lynch. The dinghy was rocked by a wave. Irvine got excited and stood up. The boat capsized. A,lifebuoy was thrown from the Hauroto, and a hulk-keeper hurried to their assistance in a boat. Lynch brothers, who had done their be«t to assist their companion, 'were picked up by the launch.
