BREACH OF REGULATIONS.

AUCKLAND, April 15. Superintendent Mitchell, in charge of the Auckland police, expressed surprise at the action_ of the men. in forming an Association. He was not aware of their grievances, and he said that the action of. the men was a breach of regulations. A statement issued by the Association yesterday details the grievances ■of the men, covering general working 'conditions and poor pay. Their -motto is "Stand firm."
