FREE-LABOR TROUBLE AT MATAURA.
GORE, April 14. The freezing chamber hands, slaughtermen's assistants, and rabhit packers struck at the freezing works at Mataura on Saturday.
The trouble 'arose over freelaborers. The butchers put some on i to unload coal. The unionists consider that preference should be given to them in the matter of casual labors The delegates are. conferring with the company to-day, with a view to a settlement.
